Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. NIV

Although this verse clearly says that the gospel is for the Jewish people first, it seems that since the days of Jesus there has been resistance to the gospel. What is the cause of this?

We will take a look at some of the issues in Jesus’ day and others throughout history so that, we can better understand them and also understand the church’s role in bringing about the salvation of Israel.

About Gilbert Carthigasu

Pastor Gilbert Carthigasu is the founder and director of One New Man Asia, a ministry focused on helping Christians understand our spiritual roots in Israel and to connecting Jewish people to their Jewish Messiah in a Jewish context.

He was the senior pastor of Shekinah Foursquare Church for over twenty years and also served as the National Representative for Foursquare Singapore from 2007 to 2011.

God revealed His heart for Israel to Ps Gilbert and his wife Almena in 2000 and soon after opened doors for him to teach this to Christians in Asia.
