The topic of money and finances reaches into every area of our lives – touching the core of who we are and what we believe. The implications of our belief towards money – whether good or bad – impact us at a heart level. For as Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
While the world promotes the idea of gaining as much money as we can, and enjoying life to the fullest, the Bible presents to us a very different approach to living. It also teaches that if we have prospered in God, “to whom much is given, much will be required.” For the Christian who has been set-apart to serve as a witness of Christ to the world, our approach to money management is to be counter-cultural. So, what does the Lord require of us? How could we ensure that our financial stewardship is honouring to Him?
In this teaching, Jeremy will provide you with biblical insights and practical keys to assist you in your own financial stewardship. When embraced, these will enable you to manifest godly fruit in the financial realm, while bringing you into a correct understanding of the nature of biblical prosperity.
Topics covered, include:
-What does the Bible say about money?
-What makes our handling of finances a heart issue?
-What is to be our Christian approach to money management?
-The law of ‘sowing’ and ‘reaping’
-What does the New Testament say about tithing?
-The issue of ‘trust’ and ‘contentment’ in the financial realm
-The dangers and pitfalls of ‘easy money’ and financial schemes
A time for Questions and Answers will follow the teaching.
