In the book of Revelation, after John receives a vision of Jesus and the letters to the seven churches, he is invited to step into an open door to heaven. His description thereafter gives us a glimpse into the most significant space in heaven - the Throne Room. His eyes are immediately drawn to the Ancient of Days seated on the Throne. God's throne represents His sovereignty. He reigns over a tumultuous world and He rules over their kings.
John can hardly find adequate vocabulary to describe things unconceivable to the human mind. Yet, two full chapters are dedicated to the description of the Throne Room. We are brought into its beauty and to consider the significance of each element and how it pertains to the Church on earth. As we draw nearer to His return, our form of worship will transform more and more into this heavenly pattern. Indeed, His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven. Kenny believes the Lord gave us this revelation to invite us to taste heavenly realities even as God has "seated us with Him in the heavenly realms."
In this series of teachings on "Glimpses of Heaven", Kenny explores heavenly realities in the book of Revelation that are meant to be experienced by God's sons and daughters here on earth. These workshops will be part teaching and part experiential worship.
During the zoom sessions, Kenny will partner with prophetic worship leaders to lead the participants into the depths of presence. We will be having worship intercessor Daniel Ng lead us in this session. Daniel is a worship vocalist with Awaken Generation Singapore and has released two original songs with them - "Throne Room" and "Seasons". He is also one of the founders of SMU Worship Night - a prayer house in our local university where he is reading law.
About Kenny Rason Tan
Kenny Tan is a full-time missionary based in Singapore. With his wife Amy and their son Joshua, he ministers prophetically to Christian leaders in Asia. They have been helping broken people understand their sonship through experiencing the Father's love.
Over the years, they have trained numerous church leaders to hear God’s voice and to move in their spiritual gifts and callings. Kenny has also published books that helps churches learn to listen to God's voice in their lives. In his free time, he loves running, swimming, playing tennis and cycling with Joshua in the child-seat!
