Since the start of the year 2020, the coronavirus pandemic has turned the world into crisis mode - with nationwide lockdowns, countries closing their borders, overwhelmed hospitals and medical personnel, school closures, business closures, unemployment, … etc. At the same time, we hear of locust plagues sweeping Africa and Central Asia as well as massive floods and unusual weather conditions in many places. The economic losses have amounted to trillions of dollars globally.

We are now in 2021 and the worldwide pandemic rages on, with different and more transmissible variants of the coronavirus. Conditions are unlikely to be back to normal any time soon - everything around us is not what it used to be. In short, we are currently in unprecedented and uncertain times.

Can the Bible shed any light on our situation today? Are things around us falling apart or are they falling in place according to God’s Divine Plan?

This Webinar Session is the capstone in understanding the relevance of End Times prophecies in the Bible to our current world situation. It is designed for both Christians wanting to be prepared for the end times and seekers trying to make sense of the turbulence and turmoil happening around us.

About the speaker

Steven Tan majored in Physics at the National University of Singapore.  As a man of science, he found it difficult to just accept Christianity by faith when approached by his Christian friends to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

As such, he spent his university days to find out more about God - adopting an objective approach, studying the major world religions, looking at the arguments supporting evolution and creationism as well as archaeological evidences.  After 2 years of searching, he finally accepted Christ and was baptized in 1984. He is currently worshipping at Covenant Evangelical Free Church at Bukit Panjang.

One of Steven's areas of interest is Bible Prophecies on the End Times. He has been studying the subject since the 1990s. In 2009, the Lord prompted him to share it with others. With this calling and passion, Steven has been giving talks on this subject to several churches and small group settings since 2010.
