People’s values; their morality, as well as their assumptions about life and themselves are all driven to a large extent by the values of modern culture.
Imbedded in modern culture is the idea that truth is what’s true for you. There can therefore be no moral absolutes, since truth cannot be fully understood or known.
This thinking has led to the rise in society of moral laxness, self-love and humanism, gender confusion, the warped agendas of social-media-influencers, as well as in the forsaking of all that is decent and wholesome.
Where there are no moral absolutes, hedonism and immorality flourish, impulses are acted on, and society plunges deeper into despair as “vain imaginations” take over and are acted on.
In opposition to the world’s thinking, the Bible asserts that truth is fully knowable. For the Christian that’s “in the world but not of it” - we are “not to be conformed to the pattern of the world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.”
To navigate the challenges of modern culture, it’s vital that we live according to a thinking governed by God’s Word - lived in the power of His Spirit.
Come and be equipped with valuable teachings and insights for discerning the times we live in - and the steps needed to avoid the dangers that threaten the Church today.
*A time for Q & A will be given.
