When Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th 2022 a sense of the near fulfilment of the Gog-Magog War ramped up to feverish pitch. However, as the war drags on for over a year and the weakness and incompetency of Putin's war machine was exhibited to the world, cynicism creeps in. "Oh here we go again..." implying a sort of another "wild-goose chase" among prophecy watchers.

To add to this skepticism, the recent devastating earthquake in Turkey/Syria appears to seriously dampen prophetic development as Turkey (Meshech) is named as one of the invaders. Many Christians run on cyclical "highs and lows" when things do not work out in the way they expected.

This is a wrong approach for the serious student of biblical prophecy, and can be rightly termed as "newspaper exegesis". The student runs from the current news event(s) and then try to find biblical passages supporting his interpretation. The Bible has been proven to be truly the Word of God by its one hundred percent accuracy in foretelling of future events.

Man may wrongly interpret prophecies through an erroneous and biased "newspaper-exegesis" approach to studying the Bible. God's word never fail when properly understood.

In this talk Wan will review the Ezekiel38-39 passages, recent developments and past prophetic fulfillments. The resurrection of Israel in 1948 is a case in point - a totally unexpected fulfilment by Yahweh of His ancient promise to the scattered descendants of Abraham following the Holocaust. Jesus told His disciples: And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. (Jn.14:29)

This talk is aimed at strengthening a believer's belief in the absolute infallibility of God's Word, specifically the coming fulfilment of the Ez.38-39 prophecy. You will be taught not to rely on a "newspaper-exegesis" interpretation, but a sound biblical approach.
