Jesus once told His disciples, “In this world you will have trouble.” John 16:33.
Trials and suffering are inevitable on this side of eternity. The trials we go through are not all the same, and they take on different forms, such as:

• Barrenness
• Betrayal & broken relationships
• Failure & disappointments
• Grief & loss
• Persecution
• Physical suffering
• The dark night of the soul

We often struggle with how a good, loving Father could allow His children to suffer. We complain and even shake our fist at Him in anger when we cannot see His hand. Yet behind the clouds that obscure His face, remains a compassionate God who is ever working all things for our good.

So what is His purpose behind our suffering?
Were we meant to wither away as our trials wear on?
Or were we meant to bloom even in the midst of the wilderness?

If you are in need of hope or comfort in your time of trial, come join us as we take a deeper dive into these questions. You are not alone in your journey along the narrow road!

About the Speaker

Zi Cong began his career in a prestigious global bank but decided to lay it all down to pursue his passion of inspiring youths after losing a friend to a car accident - just a year after having another dear friend take his own life. Both of whom were only 25 at the time of their passing.

He went on to complete the School of Leadership course at Tung Ling Bible School and published his first book, What Heaven Does Not Have 3 months before his 26th birthday in a bid to inspire youths to dream big.  Fast forward to 3 years later, he published his second book, A Rose in the Wilderness as a tribute to his dearest grandmother who passed on a couple of years prior.

No stranger to grief, the Lord has now placed him in a company that works with governments to help people with their mental/physical health and employment. Leading a small team of like-minded believers, he now champions mental wellbeing and better nutrition at the workplaces and spends his free time mentoring and giving pro bono career guidance to youths.
