The task of caregiving can be a big source of stress. It can wear you out and can even lead to you developing a psychiatric illness if you are not able to cope.

Some caregivers have been known to reject their family member and dump them in the psychiatric hospital. These patients end up in the long stay wards with no prospects of returning home.
The fact that mental illnesses run a chronic course means that caregivers have to shoulder their burdens alone and for long periods.

So how do you care for such individuals emotionally and spiritually and not suffer burnout in the process?
Practical tips are provided in a step- by- step approach as you begin your journey with the individual. Learn about what are the helpful things to say, and what you should not say.

-What can you do if your family member refuses treatment?
-What are emergency situations, and how do you deal with them?
-How should you respond to someone who voices suicidal thoughts?
-This talk will address these issues and more.

Come and have your questions answered.
