In Asia the Christian faith is often perceived as a foreign or western religion. Hence many do not see how it is relevant for them or, even worse, see it as a form of western cultural imperialism.
This event will examine how we got to this misperception and why we should correct this misrepresentation. Stressing the need for contextualization in our evangelism and discipleship, we want to recognize that we can be followers of Christ without having to reject our ethnic identity.
