The Bible is a book of mysteries waiting for the careful student of the Word to uncover and connect seemingly unconnected events to unveil God’s glory, and the beauty of the story.

As you read the Bible and start asking questions, the Lord will provide the answers. And increase the fullness of your understanding of His Word. Why and how you read matters

There are pictures, designs, types, and patterns that God has built into His Word which reveal His spectacular brilliance as the Maker of heavens and earth.

Come on this journey with Wan as he explores the following:

1. God’s Creation of Israel in Genesis 12
As you open the first book of the New Testament, the Gospel of Matthew, you will be struck by the genealogy of Jesus beginning with Abraham, leaving out Abraham's ancestors going back to Adam.
Why?
Obviously, Matthew wants the reader to understand the connection of Jesus to Abraham who was the first Jew. But Abram was a Gentile living in Mesopotamia, in the land of the Chaldean.
So how did a Gentile become a Jew? And what was God’s purpose in making Abram (later Abraham) the father of the Jewish nation, Israel? How does Matthew’s omission of the ancestors from Adam to Terah serve the storyline of the Bible.

2. Why did Jesus take a six-day trek to Mt. Hermon with His disciples, especially, Peter, John, and James, to transfigure, and reveal His glory?

3. What does Moses mean in Deut.32: 8-9 when he said, "When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. (Or is it Sons of Israel?). But the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage"

4. Who was the LORD talking to in Psalms 82? And why was He angry?
