False teachings in the Church are the results of Satan’s attack on God’s Word. Perhaps, the worst of these in the Church Age is Replacement theology.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1Timothy 4:1)
This talk will review how Satan attacked God’s Word from the earliest times. Our first parents, Adam & Eve fell prey to Satan’s attack on God’s Word in the Garden of Eden. In the Old Testament the true prophets of God were constantly fighting for the ears, hearts, and minds of the Jews who were enticed by false prophets. Similarly, in the New Testament the apostles were constantly battling false teachings.
Why should we be surprised that “doctrines of devils” have impacted the Church? One of the most vicious satanic teachings in the Church Age is Replacement Theology. It began early in the 2nd century A.D even among some Church fathers. This doctrine of Satan has wrought tremendous harm both upon the Jews, and the Church. To the Jews, it culminated in the Holocaust; to the Christians, our understanding of God’s plan and programme as taught in His Word were deemed to the fact that God still has a plan for Israel that is yet future, and all Israel will be saved. (Romans 11:26)
