God is interested not only in our spiritual and physical, but also our psychological well-being. Worries and anxieties are common emotions. 
They are necessary for our survival, yet the Bible says that unbelief is evil, and commands us not to fear. Instead, we are commanded to fear God. 
This seems an apparent contradiction. So, is it wrong to fear?

About Dr Leslie Lim

Associate Professor Leslie Lim has been a practising psychiatrist with nearly 30 years’ experience in the public sector. 

He is a Clinical Associate Professor and an Adjunct Associate Professor with two universities in Singapore. As a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist, he specialises in the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. 

A graduate of TCA College with a Master of Arts in Ministry, he is also the author of Freedom from Fear; Depression: the Misunderstood Illness; and Mental Illness or Demonisation? Similarities and Differences (co-authored with Douglas Koh).
