The global economy is still NOT RECOVERING. Full-time lifetime employment is a FADING memory. Workers feel increasingly SQUEEZED between stagnant salaries and the rising cost of living.
How should Christians respond to such an economy. What livelihood hopes are left for Christians to cling to?
Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ, we can cling onto His promises according to His Word, explore how to identify our individual vocation, uncover and recover God's livelihood and career plans for us.
We will dive into the Bible and find out how to:
- seek God's meaning, purpose and fulfilment through our work
- claim His promises of divine providence while squeezed between salary and cost of living
- display His power and authority at our workplace
- discern our talents, gifts and the career path He has appointed for us
A handbook will be provided for each participant to record personal revelation, discoveries and decisions during this process of claiming back our calling and career given by God.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Tard Lim peaked in his corporate career as managing director in an MNC by the age of 30. Unfulfilled, he resigned the corporate world and started his own marketing technology firm to become financially independent so he may retire early and serve God.
However, God found Tard's thoughts and ways incompatible with His own and challenged him to be led by God instead of trying to lead God. Tard, his wife Felicia and their 5 kids embarked on a 10-year equipping program with zero income to serve ex-offenders and families-at-risk. In the wilderness, the family learnt how to be dependent solely on God for everything they need and discovered the life in abundance promised by Jesus Christ.
