The prophetic is often thought of as foretelling into and forth-telling the future. I have found that the prophetic is as much about the past and present as it is about the future. We can better understand the work of the Holy Spirit as we take note of how He had moved in the past.
In this interactive talk, we will look at how our God used a man like John Sung to move His purposes in Singapore with important implications for this region.
We will look at John Sung:
How he is the prophet for our time
How he is the voice in the wilderness calling us to ''Prepare the way of the Lord''
How we can continue with the groundwork that has been laid.
About Wee Lay Ching
Wee Lay Ching is a third generation believer in her family. The gospel came to her father's household when John Sung preached at Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church in 1935. Her grandfather, like many migrant Chinese heard from John Sung personally. An awakening came to her that led her to research her own heritage when the Holy Spirit reminded her of the miraculous death-bed conversion of her late grandfather, 50 years after he heard the gospel through Sung San Chieh (John Sung). She worships at St Andrew's Cathedral Mandarin Congregation.
