Insight Into Eating Disorder

According to the author, an eating disorder is like an iceberg: most of it lies below the surface. The visible symptoms may be dwarfed by the inner tensions which only the sufferer knows about initially. However, armed with this book, concerned onlookers can start to understand and help.

Helena Wilkinson is ideally placed to write this book: she herself suffered from anorexia as a child, wrote other books on the subject, has worked with sufferers, and founded a charity for eating disorders in 1994.


As always with CWR, the language is readily accessible and straightforward, text is well laid out and obviously comes from a teacher well versed in their subject. … These books ooze common sense and wisdom.
